Composition:

Oxytetracycline (as dihydrate) 300 mg
Solvents ad 1 ml
Indications:
Treatment and control of a wide range of common systemic, respiratory, urinary and local infections in cattle, sheep and swine caused by, or associated with, oxytetracycline sensitive organisms such as Bor***ella bronchiseptica, Actinomyces pyogenes, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Pasteurella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp., and certain mycoplasma, rickettsiae, protozoa and chlamydia. Specific indications include pasteurellosis, pneumonia, atrophic rhinitis, erysipelas, joint ill, navel ill, supportive therapy in bovine mastitis, ovine keratoconjunctivitis(pink eye) and enzootic abortion in sheep.
Contra-indications:
Hypersensitivity to tetracyclines.
Administration to animals with a seriously i***ired renal and/or hepatic function.
Concurrent administration of bactericidal antibiotics such as penicillins and cephalosporins.
Side effects:
After intramuscular administration local reactions of a transient nature, characterised by swelling and/or hardness, may occur.
Use of the product during the period of tooth and bone development, including late pregnancy, can lead to discoloration.
Overdoses may result in nephrotoxicity.
Dosage and administration:
For deep intramuscular administration:
Administer it at the standard dose of 20mg/kg for 3 to 4 days duration of activity for the treatment and control of conditions caused by organisms sensitive to oxytetracycline. Administer at the high dose of 30mg/kg for the treatment and control of respiratory infections in cattle, sheep and swine.
Standard dose:1 ml per 15kg body weight(20mg/kg).
High dose: 1ml per 10kg body weight(30mg/kg).
Do not use more than 10ml in cattle and swine or more than 5ml in sheep per injection site. Piglets should not receive more than 0.2ml(1day old), 0.3ml(7days old), 0.4ml(14days old) or 0.5ml (21days old) per injection site. Piglets more than 21days old should receive the high dose(1ml/10kg; 30mg/kg).
